Rivers state House of Assembly to screen eight commissioner nominees today

Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara,  have invited for screening eight persons nominated as commissioners by the governor.

 

A press statement issued by G.M. Gillis-West, Clerk of Rivers House of Assembly, dated Monday May 20, says the following nominees have been invited namely;

 

1. Hon. Prince Charles O. Bekee
2. Mr. Collins N. Onunwo
3. Hon. Solomon Eke
4. Sir. Dr. Peter N. Medee
5. Hon. Elloka Tasie Amadi
6. Hon. Basoene Joshua Benibo
7. Mr. Tambari Sydney Gbara, and
8. Dr. Ovy Orluideye Chinendum Chukwuma.

The date of the screening is today, Tuesday, 21 May, 2024. The time isat 10:00 a.m while the venue is the Hallowed Chamber, Rivers State House of Assembly, Auditorium, Admin. Block, Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt.

The nominees are to come along with twelve (12) sets of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) and, the originals and photocopies of their credentials.

When screened and confirmed, they will replace the nine allies of Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister and former Governor of Rivers State.

The commissioners resigned from the cabinet over political crisis in the State as they couldn’t pledge allegiance to Fubara.

  1. But I went to ask this trouble that is still going on with wike and Fubara,I asked what did wike went is it loyalty or is it that money is not flowing towards him?
