As reported earlier this week, the 29-year-old is in talks with the Red Devils over a new deal.

It is said the Bafana Bafana star could be offered a deal that would see him become one of the highest-paid players in Africa.

According to KingFut, discussions are underway between the former Mamelodi Sundowns player and Al Ahly, with his current deal expiring in 2025.

The outlet claims the club is hoping to tie him down to new terms “to provide him with stability ahead of the latter stages of the CAF Champions League and the Egyptian Premier League”.

Head coach Koller, meanwhile, reportedly values Tau a great deal after the performances he has put in for the club since the Swiss manager’s arrival in 2022.

As per the abovementioned publication, the forward has “transformed” under Koller, under whom he has contributed to 23 goals in 65 appearances across all competitions.
