However, the 35-year-old has netted just two goals in 12 appearances for the Red Devils, the last of which was in the Egypt Super Cup final.

The French striker has faced a bit of criticism over the last couple months, but  director of football Khaled Bibo insists the player is not leaving this month.

“I am very pleased with Modeste’s goal in the Super Cup final,” Bibo said, as per KingFut.

“The player is facing significant criticism and immense pressure, but he is a good player with a big name.

“Perhaps the match was made difficult just for him to score and relieve the pressure.

“I don’t know where the talk of Modeste’s departure came from. He is committed to the club’s contract, and there has been no decision regarding his departure.”
