Currently, the LALIGA champions do not seem to be putting up much of valiant fight in order to retain their title as kings of Spain.

This is perhaps due to their Polish marksman not hitting the heights of last season.

Lewandowski won the Pichichi trophy, the award for LALIGA’s top goalscorer, as he helped the Blaugrana end a four-year wait for a league championship in the 2022/23 campaign.

This season, though, he is five goals behind Golden Boot leader Jude Bellingham, who currently has 13 goals to his name.

With the Warsaw native turning 36 this year, his teammate Pedri is aware that the Poland captain will not be able to compete at the highest level for much longer.

When the 2021 Golden Boy was asked recently who the one forward he would like to see sign for Barca is, he chose another ex-Borussia Dortmund man.

“For Barca, I would sign Haaland. He’s a cyborg. He scores a lot of goals,” the 21-year-old told Ibai Llanos on his Twitch stream, as per Sport.

“Lewandowski is not going to last until he is 60.

“Julian Alvarez is also playing very well, ‘the spider’, he’s a very good player.”
