The Blues are currently in the midst of a poor run of form, with their latest result, a 2-2 draw against relegation-threatened Brentford, having seemingly turned the club’s supporters against their Argentine manager.

The west Londoners have won only one of their past five matches in the Premier League. Couple that with their Carabao Cup final loss to an injury-hit Liverpool team, and it seems Pochettino is slowly losing favour with those affiliated with the two-time European champions.

While the contingent of supporters who are becoming frustrated with the 52-year-old is growing, the club’s hierarchy is said to want to stick with the Murphy native at least until the end of the season.

Clearlake Capital, the majority owners of Chelsea, do not want a repeat of last season, when they sacked Graham Potter in April and had a subdued end to the campaign.

However, according to The Guardian, Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali and their fellow executives are said to be already keeping tabs on potential replacements for the former Tottenham Hotspur boss should the team’s poor performances continue.

The club’s hierarchy is said to be willing to stick with Pochettino should he attain European football for next season, but should he fail to do this, then it is claimed they could look at appointing either Roberto De Zerbi from Brighton & Hove Albion or Sporting CP’s Ruben Amorim as their next manager in the off-season.

The two-time European champions will face stiff competition from various elite clubs for either the Italian or the Portuguese’s signature, though, with the likes of Barcelona, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich all looking to make new managerial appointments in the coming months.
