Greenwood’s Shock Feelings On Man Utd Return Revealed?

Mason Greenwood is reportedly not in favour of a return to Manchester United.

Mason Greenwood’s surprise feelings about potentially playing for Manchester United again have reportedly emerged.

A recent report claimed that the one-time England international, who is on loan at Getafe in Spain, would jump on the quickest flight back to Manchester if the club would have him back.

This after new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe said a fresh decision would be made on the 22-year-old’s future following previous comments made by former United chief Richard Arnold.

The 53-year-old said last year that Greenwood would not feature for the club again after he returned to football in 2023 following a year and a half out of the sport after his arrest on suspicion of attempted sexual assault in January 2022.

While rumours initially suggested the player would be open to heading back to his boyhood club, The Athletic claims the opposite is, in fact, true.

The publication says Greenwood would think twice before returning to the Red Devils as “he felt United could have supported him better over his case and is said to harbour no great desire to play for the club again”.

The forward has contributed to 12 goals in 25 matches for Getafe so far this season, with 10 of those coming in LALIGA.
