According to Spanish outlet AS, the 23-year-old would ditch the Citizens for Real Madrid “tomorrow” if it were possible.

Haaland has long been linked with the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners, but only joined City in 2022.

It is reported that clubs outside of England will soon have the opportunity to match the release clause in his deal in England, which is believed to be set at €100 million (R2 billion).

The Norway international has taken the Premier League by storm since his arrival, though is widely expected to spend his career testing himself in multiple leagues.

His father, Alf-Inge, has previously suggested as much, while his agent Rafaela Pimenta has refused to rule out a future move to Spain for her client.

Still, however, Los Blancos would reportedly prefer pursuing Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, who is out of contract in June 2024.
