The 31-year-old has had a difficult time finding a new club following his departure from Nottingham Forest as a free agent in 2023.

Last year, Lingard trained with Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, while he was also linked with moves to the MLS and Everton.

According to Sky Sports, however, the 32-time England international is now believed to be nearing a comeback.

The publication claims he is closing in on a free-agent transfer to South Korean side FC Seoul amid reports he has verbally agreed to a two-year deal.

Lingard made 232 appearances for the Red Devils prior to his free transfer to Forest in 2022, contributing to 46 goals.
