Earlier this week, former Egypt international Mido took to social media to claim that the 31-year-old has already penned an agreement with a team in the Saudi Pro League.

This after the winger was pursued by last season’s champions Al Ittihad at the start of this campaign, advances the Reds rejected at the time.

Mido’s comments have raised questions surrounding the former Chelsea player’s future, with his deal in England currently set to expire in 2025 and Jurgen Klopp stepping down from his role as head coach later this year.

According to Football Insider, despite Liverpool turning down multiple big-money proposals for his signature in 2023, the club will consider his sale if they receive offers in excess of £100 million (R2.4 billion).

This would see the new Carabao Cup champions earn the funds to be able to find his replacement ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Turning 32 in June, it could be an appropriate time for the Reds to cash in on the ex-Roma and Fiorentina forward, who has been at Anfield since 2017.
