Marcus Rashford has reportedly been offered counselling at Manchester United.

Manchester United have reportedly offered Marcus Rashford off-field help following his recent drinking binge, which resulted in his absence from first-team training.

The England international caused a stir last week after he called in sick for a training session at United after what was believed to be a 12-hour drinking binge.

He then missed the 20-time English champions’ 4-2 FA Cup victory over Newport County this past Sunday, with rumours suggesting he offered to travel with the squad but was told to stay at Carrington.

Rashford, 26, has since apologised for his actions, according to the Daily Mail, with the Red Devils issuing a statement earlier this week insisting that the matter had been dealt with internally.

His latest off-field indiscretion is believed to have raised concerns at United, however, with members of staff having reportedly informed the winger that he could seek professional help within the club if he so wished.

Earlier this season, the forward was spotted celebrating his birthday following a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at Old Trafford, actions that earned him widespread criticism.

It is alleged Rashford was out at a nightclub until 3am on Friday morning, but had informed the club he would be going out on Wednesday night.

Following his 30-goal season last time out, the academy graduate has battled to reach those same heights this term, having struck only four times across all competitions so far.
