The France captain is now officially free to sign a pre-contract with any club outside of France as he has entered the final six months of his current deal at the Parc des Princes.
In recent weeks, there have been rumours circulating that Los Blancos have given the 25-year-old a January deadline to accept a mooted offer, while the Reds are now also believed to be strong contenders to land the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner’s signature.
PSG will likely try again to extend the forward’s contract, but according to the Bondy native, as of right now, he has no idea where he will be playing his football come the 2024/25 campaign.
“First of all, I’m very, very, very motivated for this year. It’s very important,” Mbappe told members of the media following Les Rouges-et-Bleus’ 2-0 win over Toulouse in the French Super Cup, as per Reuters.
“As I said, we’ve got titles to go after and we’ve already won one, so that’s already done.
“After that, no, I haven’t made up my mind yet.
“But in any case, with the agreement I made with the chairman (Nasser Al-Khelaifi) this summer, it doesn’t matter what I decide.

“We managed to protect all parties and preserve the club’s serenity for the challenges ahead, which remains the most important thing. So, we’ll say it [the decision on his future] is secondary.”
