AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has responded to the links with the Brazil job after Carlo Ancelotti signed a new deal at Real Madrid.
Ancelotti was seemingly Brazil’s first choice to replace Tite, who resigned after the disappointing 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign.

However, the Italian signed contract extension this week, effectively ruling him out of the vacant role but Mourinho has name has also been floating around.
The AS Roma tactician has not received any contact with the Brazilian football federation.
“I don’t know if it’s true that Brazil wants me,” Mourinho said, as per ESPN.
“They haven’t spoken to me. I asked my agent not to tell me anything about any contacts.”
“I have no reason to think that the [Roma owners] Friedkin family is not honest, I trust the ownership 100%.
“It doesn’t mean I’ll stay here 100% but it means they’re not looking for someone else behind my back.”
Meanwhile, reports in Brazil claim that Sao Paulo coach Dorival Júnior is the preferred candidate for the Brazil Football Confederation.
