Liverpool are now reportedly firmly in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe at the end of the season.
While Real Madrid have been heavily linked with luring Kylian Mbappe away from Paris Saint-Germain over the years, a new club has reportedly leapt ahead of Los Blancos in the race for the forward’s signature.

For the second time in his career, the Bondy native is able to negotiate a pre-contract with any club outside of France as his current deal with Les Parisiens is set to expire within the next six months.
According to Le Parisien, the record European champions are very much still in the hunt to sign the 25-year-old, but unlike in 2022, the Spanish giants have adopted a more hard-ball approach in trying to acquire the France captain’s services.
It is said Mbappe is not receptive to these tactics, however, and views them as counter-productive.
This has seemingly opened up the race for the forward’s signature, something Liverpool are believed to be looking to take full advantage of.
As per the same report, it is the Reds who currently provide the most serious threat to PSG’s ambition of keeping their record goalscorer in the French capital beyond this campaign.

It is said Jurgen Klopp has been pursuing the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner for the past nine years, something that flatters Mbappe, with the German tactician believed to envisage the Frenchman’s arrival as the only transfer that could off-set Mohamed Salah’s potential departure and pose a threat to Manchester City recent dominance in England and Europe.
