The Saudi Pro League’s transfer window closed late on Tuesday night, but not before Abha Club welcomed two new additions to their first-team squad.

Left-back Ibrahim Al-Zubaidi, 34, joined the side from Mosimane’s former Saudi-based club Al Ahli on loan until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

The experienced defender, who made only two appearances for Al Ahli this season, has previously played for clubs such as Al Wehda, Al Nassr, Najran SC and Al Taawoun in the Gulf country.

Former Monaco and Wolfsburg centre-back Marcel Tisserand, meanwhile, has also signed for Abha Club in this window.

The 31-year-old French-born player has been capped on 35 occasions for DR Congo, whom he has represented before at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

Despite captaining his adopted country at qualifiers leading up to this year’s competition, Tisserand was excluded from their final squad for the showpiece in the Ivory Coast.
