Los Blancos have a plethora of world-class talent in their ranks. Most of them are established international players, but that is not the case for all of them, with an example being Brahim Diaz.

The versatile forward was born in Spain, but despite having played for some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Manchester City, AC Milan and Real, he has only been called up by La Furia Roja once in his career.

It appears the 24-year-old has, however, grown impatient with waiting to once again represent the 2010 FIFA World Cup winners.

According to Moroccan journalist Taha Imani, Diaz will, instead, switch his allegiance and play for the Atlas Lions.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Morocco head coach Walid Regragui would meet with the City academy graduate in order to finalise his integration into his team and it seems that the talks went well as the same reporter claims that the player has never been closer to becoming a member of the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finalists, even predicting that he will be included in the upcoming squad that will play against Angola and Mauritania in the next international break.

There were suggestions that Diaz could have been included in the north African giants’ squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, but it is believed that Regragui wanted to introduce him to the team at a less intense time.
