Following his recent one-match ban for a bizarre gesture he made in response to fans chanting Messi’s name in his direction, the 39-year-old was targeted again this week.

During Al Nassr’s 1-0 loss to United Arab Emirates-based side Al Ain in a first-leg AFC Champions League quarter-final encounter on Monday, Ronaldo appeared frustrated as he left the field at half-time to more Messi-related taunts.

According to the Daily Mail, the Portuguese could be seen shaking his head and looking disgruntled as he headed towards the tunnel.

Al Nassr headed into the break a goal behind following a first-half strike from Soufiane Rahimi, and were unable to get back into the match after they returned for the second 45 minutes.

The second leg between the Saudi giants and Al Ain will take place on 11 March.
