Salah To Reunite With Mane In Saudi Arabia?

Mohamed Salah could reportedly reunite with Sadio Mane in Saudi Arabia amid interest from Al Nassr.

Reports suggest Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah could potentially join forces with Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

According to Goal, Saudi giants Al Nassr are preparing a significant bid for the Egyptian No. 10 ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Should a move for the 31-year-old prove successful, Salah would reunite with Mane after previously spending time alongside the Senegalese star in England.

While their on-field relationship at times led to controversy, the pair, along with Roberto Firmino, formed part of one of the Premier League’s most threatening front threes in recent history.

Last season’s Saudi Pro League champions Al Ittihad are also believed to be keeping tabs on the winger, whose deal in England expires in 2025.

Many believe Salah’s faith could be a deciding factor in whether he takes his career to the rapidly expanding SPL, as well as the financial benefits that would follow.

The former Chelsea man is currently one of the best-paid players in the Premier League, but a move to the Middle East would likely make him one of the highest earning sports people in the world.

Ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Paul Robinson recently weighed in on the rumour, and suggested Salah’s arrival would be more impactful to the league than Ronaldo’s.

“Cristiano Ronaldo was taken over there at the start of it all, but he can’t play forever,” he said.

“Mohamed Salah, in that league, tops Ronaldo. The interest that it spikes and the revenue that he brings to that league. That will be the biggest deal that the Premier League has ever seen, I have no doubt.”
