Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho is now reportedly close to leaving the club.

According to Bild, the English winger looks set to finally be putting an end to his exile at the Red Devils as he is on the verge of rejoining Borussia Dortmund.

The 23-year-old has been ostracised by Erik ten Hag ever since their match against Arsenal in September, for which the attacker was left out of the matchday squad by the Dutchman due to what he referred to as inconsistency in training.

Sancho would retaliate to his manager’s statement by suggesting that Ten Hag was using him as a scapegoat, and the London native has been an afterthought for the 53-year-old tactician ever since.

The England international arrived at Old Trafford for a massive fee of €85 million (R1.7 billion) in 2021, and having struggled to make the same impact he made at Signal Iduna Park, his excommunication from the United squad compounded his woes in the red half of Manchester.

Now, the German publication claims that the record Premier League champions and BVB are close to completing negotiations over a loan deal, with the Mancunians set to pay a percentage of the forward’s wages during his time back in Germany.

It remains unclear if there is an option for the Bundesliga outfit to make the deal a permanent one at the end of the campaign, but Sancho is now expected to rejoin the club by the end of the week.

During his initial spell with the German side, Sancho was one of the most productive players in all of Europe as he scored 50 goals and produced 64 assists in 137 appearances.
