Ten Hag Speaks After Rashford’s ‘Nightclub’ Scandal

The 26-year-old was absent from the Red Devils’ 4-2 away win over Newport County on Sunday, two days after reports suggested he had been spotted out in Belfast despite missing training on Friday due to illness.

About his exclusion from United’s matchday squad on the weekend, the club said Rashford was left at Carrington to continue his recovery.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, refused to divulge details on Rashford following questions from members of the press after his side’s latest FA Cup victory, insisting the matter will be dealt with.

“He reported ill,” he said, according to Manchester Evening News.

“Let’s say, it’s an internal matter, I’ll deal with it. It’s an internal matter.”

Rashford has underperformed this season for the 20-time English champions, having scored only four goals across all competitions in 26 games so far.

The winger has been outshone by 19-year-old Argentine Alejandro Garnacho in recent months, although he has been backed to return to his best by Ten Hag.
